Re: Mr. Alan Pagliere

Mr. Pagliere has completed six years with the construction firm of Townsend & Bottum. During the past four years he has reported organizationally to my office. His responsibilities have been the management and operation of the corporation-wide management information systems.

Mr. Pagliere has designed and coordinated the advancement of this firm's information systems from rudimentary individual personal computers assigned to limited word-processing and financial staff to a multiple application LAN which is utilized by every element of the organization.

In recent years the company experienced significant downsizing as a result of massive reductions in power facility construction. Mr. Pagliere immersed himself in the details of all staff operations and therefore became exceptionally well-versed in the systems and requirements of the individual staff functions. He has assisted each of them in develping information systesms that significantly reduced the requirements for additional staff to perform to growing demands. This significantly enhanced the firm's ability to survive in the highly competitive arena of the remaining few power facility contractors. His effectiveness in implementing anew systems has come in part from his talents as an instructor. This talent in part has its foundation in his technical competence, communication skills and affable personality. He constantly monitors the emerging technology and, as appropriate, offers it for the company's benefit.

I have worked very closely with him during my entire tenure at Townsend & Bottum and consider him to be a manager and worker of the highest professional and personal qualities. He consistently performs to a selfless work ethic that would be a welcome bench mark in any organization. His loyalty to the company and its employees has been commendable.

I am pleased to recommend him for any position that provides challenge and requires a devoted, hard-working and intelligent manager.

Sincerely,

TOWNSEND & BOTTUM
